Steps Forward
So, it’s happened. Seasons changed and Fall is officially here. Crisp morning walks with our Chief Barketing Officer, Chester, find our feet shuffling through orange and red leaves sprinkled on the sidewalks. My internal monologue keeps screaming, “I’m not ready yet!”
But that’s the story of summer. There’s always the promise of great possibility when the last school bus rolls out of neighborhood in June. We think about family vacations we’re planning, street festivals throughout the city, and warm nights at the lakefront watching the sun sink slowly beyond the horizon.
Because summer is all about breaking the rules. Evening ‘meals’ of cherry tomatoes fresh from the garden, their juice and seeds dripping down my arm. And for dessert, we’ll stoke the fire pit and laugh as our marshmallows brown, chocolate squares and graham crackers at the ready.
Magic.
But there’s a different kind of excitement I get each September when mornings are a flurry of activity and we dodge children walking to school on the sidewalks.
Opportunity awaits settling back into routines and looking with fresh eyes toward new challenges to make our own. It’s taking a new class, or starting a new sport, or as adults, setting a stretch goal to finally, FINALLY, get that project we’ve been thinking about firmly underway.
If your Fall plans include taking steps forward to tell your story in a new way, or share your successes with a new audience, we’d love to help. You bring fresh goals and new challenges you want to conquer, we’ll bring a fresh notebook, new ideas and the promise to give new beginnings every chance to succeed.
See you amongst the colors.
